Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition

ARTWORK GOES TO JAPAN TO AIMPE

It was out of my comfort zone, by this I mean not planned out. I created the piece I entered to AIMPE Awagami exhibit with the little spare time I have these days. I have never worked with awagami paper before and that was the requirement for the exhibit. Thankfully Jerry’s Artarama had some in stock and I was able to experiment and create.

An old solar plate used slightly different from previous print

As part of being part of this exhibit, entrants received a gift from awagami. A package of different types of awagami handmade paper. When I receive the package all the way from Japan, I was giddy and excited to try the new paper. Now if the baby will allow me more time in the studio it would be amazing.

My artwork will be exhibited at the Inbe Art Space,  The Hall of Awa Japanese Paper Museum, 141 Kawahigashi, Yamakawa-cho, Yoshinogawa-shi, Tokushima, Japan, from October 7 until October 29.
